What age can I attend your courses?
All courses are open to students over the age of 16.
Why do I need CPD points?
Continuous Professional Development points are required by federations bodies such as FHT to ensure that there members stay up to date with their training.
Will I need to gain insurance?
You will need student insurance whilst training and this will need to be upgraded on completion of your course. We work closely with The a Guild of Holistic Therapies and ABT so they can offer a discount if you study with us,lease ask your tutor for the discount code.
Do I need Anatomy and Physiology Qualification before my course?
Depending on the course will depend if you need to have an Anatomy and Physiology Qualification. Massage Courses, Reflexology Courses have this as a pre requisite but you can be studying this along side your chosen course.
We offer distance learning Anatomy and Physiology Courses or class toon based Anatomy and Physiology Classes.
Each course description will list any pre requisites.
I am pregnant will I still be able to join the course?
You will be able to attend all courses, however you may not be suitable to have the treatment. Each course will discuss contra indications, clients suitability before the treatment and your tutor will be able to advise.
Do you offer discount schemes?
Unfortunately we can not discount our courses further, we offer the lowest possible course cost. Due to small class sizes and your teachers expertise we believe you get excellent value for your course cost.
What are the class size?
We are dedicated to your learning so we keep the class size small, we feel this gives you a better learning environment where your teacher can be dedicated to you and your individual needs.
I have a massage qualification but want to offer my clients advanced massage treatments, what qualification do I need?

You can chose to complete with an accredited Diploma, NVQ or ITEC.
For an accredited Diploma you will need an insurable qualification. To study an ITEC Advanced Massage Course or NVQ you will need an ITEC Massage or NVQ Qualification.
I have no massage experience and am a complete beginner, what courses do you advise for a new career path?
You have many different options as a beginner and we are here to support you so you do not need to have experience.

Can I wear nail varnish or nail extensions?
We require you to meet industry requirements, no nail varnish or covering of the nails is allowed. Nail Extensions must be removed. For all Massage Courses, Reflexology Courses, Aromatherapy Courses, Facial Courses and Thai Courses your nails will need to be short.
Do I need to wear a uniform?
All ITEC Courses or NVQ Courses you need to be dressed to meet high professional standards, flat closed toe shoes, trousers, tunic or plain polo shirt.
All Accredited Diploma Students must wear flat closed toe shoes and dressed sensibly.
Will I require a patch test before the start of my course?
All Massage Courses, Facial Courses and Body Courses do not require a patch test.
We advise you receive a patch test 48 hours before course date for the following:
Lash and Brow Tinting
Lash Lifting or Perming
Will I need to bring a model?
All ITEC courses and NVQ Courses will not require a model. You will be given the opportunity to book in your own clients when working in a salon environment.
The majority of our accredited diplomas will not require a model with the exception of Intimate Waxing and Ear Piercing.
Do I need to purchase a text book?
It is not compulsory to purchase text books but we will recommend books suitable for your ITEC Course or NVQ Course, these will be listed in your confirmation.
What will I need to bring on the day?
You will be required to bring towels to your ITEC Course, NVQ course and Accredited Diploma Course. More detail will be sent with booking confirmation.
You will need to bring a pen and your lunch. Tea and Coffee facilities will be available.
Do I need to purchase a training kit?
We provide all training material for ITEC Courses, NVQ Courses and Accredited Diplomas. We also offer training retail kits at a professional rate so you can continue to practice or complete case studies at home.
Will I need to sit an exam?
All ITEC Courses require you to sit an exam with an external examiner in order to complete your course.
How will my work be marked?
We ask you to email your theory work to your course tutor, this will be marked and feedback given.Your work will be Internally Verified.
Will I receive guidance with assignments and portfolio building?
You will receive clear instructions in your class but will have Skype or email access to your tutor to ensure you receive full support.
What are the course timings?
All courses start prompt at 9.30. Finishing times will depend on the course, your course timing will be written in your confirmation.
Arriving late is very disruptive to other students and your own learning. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late you will not be able to participate. You will need to rebook your learning which is charged at £20 per hour.
What Qualification will I receive?
All ITEC Courses and NVQ Courses receive their own certificate listing the course level and title.

What are the different types of qualifications?
We offer ITEC courses, NVQ Courses or Accredited Diplomas. NVQs and ITEC qualifications are international qualifications which will be accepted by Spas, Salons and Cruise Ships around the world.
ITEC is the highest qualification available in the Spa, Holistic and Beauty Industry.
Accredited Diplomas are shorter courses that are insurable.
Is there a time limit to complete my chosen course?
Distance learning courses do not have a time limit for completion this allows you to work at a pace that is suitable for you.
Your Massage Course, Aromatherapy Course and Reflexology Course requires you to complete Case Studies in your own time. These can be completed in a time frame that is suitable for you.
Your ITEC course or NVQ course will need to be completed in your course time frame.
What do I do if I wish to cancel my course?
We offer a fourteen day money back guarantee from the date of booking. This does not apply to Distance a Learning Courses.
When will I receive my course material?
Your distance learning course material will be sent via email within 72 hours of receiving payment.
Can I get funding for my chosen course?
We do not have access to funding at present but there are many different organisations that may be able to offer advice or funding. We do offer the option to pay in instalments.
What if I need to reschedule my chosen course?
Please email your tutor who can discuss your options and advise on alternative dates. You will be charged £40 transfer fee.
Can I pay in instalments?
You have the option to pay for your ITEC, NVQ course or distance learning course in instalments but a fee of £40 will be added. All ITEC courses, NVQ Courses need to be paid in full 21 working days before your first practical class. All distance learning courses need to be paid in full before course material is sent out.
